What is FWCMS

The Foreign Workers Centralized Management System (FWCMS, also known as MiGRAMS) is a customizable, fully online, comprehensive system created to help users and stakeholders with all policies and regulatory procedures relating to hiring migrant workers, from selection to recruitment to periodic management to monitoring to ensuring workers return safely home. In order to develop the unified solution, the R&D process for FWCMS entailed working with over 13 different countries and their own laws, rules, conventions, practises, and quirks.

With an integrated and online approach, FWCMS does away with all manual and time-consuming operations. Employers can conduct all transactions at any time from the convenience of their office and can complete all application processes online. The method uses an automated and online approach with relatively few physical interactions to handle the problem of leakages or corruption in the current system, minimising the likelihood of corruption occurring.

FWCMS is an end-to-end platform that links all parties involved in the management of migrant workers, including employers, Malaysian and international recruitment agencies, governments, and healthcare facilities. The platform’s four key components are security, health, compliance, and welfare.

The FWCMS platform would also record the foreign employees’ fingerprints, face, and passport, and this information would be transmitted in real time to the Malaysian Immigration Department for security clearance in order to ascertain whether they are qualified to work in Malaysia.

The technology will alert you if a prospective foreign employee is on Malaysia’s blacklist, at which point they won’t even be permitted to go through the medical examination. Once the employees are deemed fit to work in Malaysia, the employers can apply for their visas; this only requires their passport numbers as all of the employees’ information, including their photos, passports, and medical records, would already be in the system.

The system includes a feature that takes workers’ fingerprints in their home country, preventing situations of impersonation when they arrive in Malaysia. The government’s demand that foreign employees be insured before they arrive is another component of the FWCMS, and in a way, this removes the instances of insurance premium forgery that have occurred in the past.
